I have been in Northern Colorado for 15 years and know the area, neighborhoods and schools well. With two small boys, I’ve been to just about every nook and cranny north of Denver!
I have extensive construction, remodeling and design knowledge that I put to use when helping not just sellers and buyers, but also clients that already own their homes and are interested in making some big and/or small improvements.
Because using our resources efficiently is one of my passions, I acquired the National Board of Realtors Green Designation. I have the expertise and resources to integrate smart and green features into your home renovation. This knowledge also allows me to market a home’s energy efficient features for the seller and identify them for a buyer. I love learning and I constantly educate myself on new home features, design and construction. I love sharing new information and inspiration with my friends, family and clients. I have been blogging about my own home renovations, home maintenance tips, home improvement ideas and resource/energy efficiency for years.
I speak at national conferences, local boards, and renewable energy organizations about how energy efficient homes, particularly homes with solar, affect real estate transactions. As I said, education is important to me, so a large part of my business is educating homeowners, solar companies, green builders, appraisers and real estate agents about the benefits of green homes and how to successfully execute a transaction involving homes with green elements.
Lastly, I strongly believe that owning real estate is a key ingredient to your financial wellness. I have owned investment properties for 13 years and understand firsthand the benefits and occasional drawbacks of managing them myself. I also know several great management companies that I can refer investment clients to if they prefer to put the day to day operations of an investment property in the hands of professionals.
